Lace frontals and closures

Lace wigs/closures come in different variations, there are lace caps, full lace, lace 360 and front lace wigs.A front lace wig refers to a wig that has sheer lace along the front portion of the wig that rests along the forehead and traces your natural hairline. The purpose of the lace is to give the wearer the appearance of a natural hairline. These wigs are highly popular because when worn properly, it appears as if it's your natural hair, and can be styled the same as your natural hair with various parts and ponytails.

When not wearing your lace front wig, it's important that it is properly cared for to ensure it last as long as possible. Always keep your lace front wig out of direct sunlight when not being worn, this helps to prevent the color from fading. Also, make sure to store it in areas where little to no dust is present as well as away from areas of excess heat. Front lace wigs may be stored on a synthetic head, or in a satin sealable bag to help control frizz and tangles.

Lace front wigs are highly versatile because the hairline appears as if it’s your own, you wear them in any fashion that covers the rear nape for a totally flawless appearance. That means a side ponytail, fishtail braid, low bun or even free and loose are all great natural styling options that still achieve a natural look.

The price of a lace front wig varies on the quality, length, hair type and the distributor. Wigs made of human hair will cost more than synthetic wigs, and those from branded companies will be more costly than generic wigs. Lace front wigs can range anywhere between $250- $500.

Washing a front lace wig is not hard, but the methods depend on the construction of the wig. Wigs made of human hair require just as much care as your own hair. Human hair wigs can last up to a year with proper maintenance and storage before they start to show wear.

Lace front wigs are applied with an adhesive, so make sure that all of your natural hair is properly flattened and secured under a cap prior to putting any adhesive on your forehead.

Remember to still care for your natural hair.
